On February, 4, the annual exhibition and conference CSTB’ 2010, held in Moscow for the 12th time, completed its work. The main event in the field of broadcasting and telecommunication technologies in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries was open to visitors for 3 days and showed all the latest formats and actual trends of the field: digital free-to-air TV, pay-TV, broadband, wireless technologies, multiservice network operator services, equipment for TV and radio broadcasting, for production of programs and post-production, satellite communication. Special attention was traditionally given to content. Over 19500 experts, representatives of professional establishments, mass-media and interested individuals visited CSTB’2010.
Post-release 4 February 2009 The Opening Ceremony of the 11th International Exhibition and Conference, CSTB’2009, was held in Moscow on the 2nd of February. The welcome address to the organizers, participants and guests was given by Dmitry Severov, the Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation. On behalf of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, he congratulated all associated with this professional event and the opening of the CSTB’2009 show. Dmitry Severov underlined that today the exhibition represented an impressive demonstration of the latest trends in Radio & Television Broadcasting. Mr. Dmitry Severov also added that currently the Federal Target Programme for development of TV & radio broadcasting through the period until 2015 was at the last stage of procedural agreement. Hence, the Russian State enters an interesting but a very complicated market where the dominating technologies, such as free-to-air, cable and satellite broadcasting, combine in a most sophisticated way to provide the market players and their clients with original and new opportunities. The role of State in this transition and development is to clear the social issues first of all with the intention that by 2015 it must provide the entire population in the places of their permanent dwelling with a package of digital free-to-air TV channels that are universally for distributed throughout the country. At the end of the speech he expressed his hope that the exhibition and conference would provide the stimulus to search for new and original solutions and enable the industry to fulfill its potential

On February 2, the 12th exhibition and conference CSTB’ 2010 was opened in Moscow in the Crokus Expo exhibition hall to become the main annual event in the field of broadcasting and telecommunication technologies in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries.
